Elton John Eyewear lands at Specsavers with new ad

Specsavers has launched a global partnership with Elton John Eyewear, one of its biggest product launches ever.

The campaign includes ads across YouTube, billboards, press, social media, and in stores.

The exclusive collection at Specsavers features 13 optical frames and two limited edition sunglasses. E

ach one is named by Elton John after a famous song, personal milestone, or key moment in his life. Designs include Tiny Dancer, Captain Fantastic, Seamstress, and the sunglasses Yellow Brick Road and Love Song-all inspired by his greatest hits.

By working with one of the world’s most famous glasses wearers, Specsavers wants to show off its style and design strengths.

The launch video features Elton talking directly about how wearable the glasses are. David Furnish also appears, teasing Elton about his “over the top” reputation in some fun, light-hearted moments that match Specsavers’ usual tone.

The campaign includes strong PR and social media efforts, with major ad spending across YouTube, billboards, and press.

It’s launching first in the UK and Northern Europe, with Australia and New Zealand to follow this summer.

Richard James, Global Creative Director at Specsavers, said: “Elton John isn’t just a glasses wearer; he’s a glasses pioneer. With this collection and campaign, we are proud to celebrate that spirit while creating something that’s stylish, iconic and accessible. ‘Just the right amount of Elton’ perfectly captures what Specsavers set out to achieve – frames that stand out but are wearable every day.”

Elton John, added: “Glasses have always been a big part of who I am. For me, style is all about confidence and expressing who you truly are. That’s exactly what this collection is about, its helping people feel fantastic in frames that celebrate their individuality. Specsavers and I share the belief that everyone should have access to eyewear that makes them feel like the best version of themselves. I can’t wait for people to find a pair they love and make them their own.”
