Emaar Group launches guest services app

Emaar Hospitality Group, which owns and manages a number of hotels and sports clubs in the UAE, has launched a mobile app which complements the guest experience in its individual properties, and is also integrated into a larger, dedicated brand app.
Each app offers users a guide to the activities and services available at the hotel they are staying at, as well as in the city of Dubai. The app was developed by Go Find It Technologies. The app also enables managers to track guests’ interactions with hotel services in real-time.
The app was first launched for upscale boutique hotel, Vida Downtown Dubai in 2015. Subsequently, Go Find It and Emaar Hospitality Group worked together to deliver a broader platform embracing the Group’s five hotel brands. The app connects to the hotels’ booking engines for rooms and restaurants, and the Group’s ‘U by Emaar’ loyalty program.
“With the switch from desktop to mobile, hoteliers have a new opportunity to engage guests,” said Go Find It CEO, Thomas Martensson. “In recent years, the hospitality industry has lost significant ground to players like Booking.com, Expedia and TripAdvisor which now have a market cap of $111bn (£87bn). “This is more than many of the world’s major hotel groups value combined. Digital transformation should be the single most important objective for all hotel group owners and managers.”
