Facebook has made it easier to start group calls in Messenger by now letting users turn their one-to-one chats into group chats without the need to hang up and create a new message.
With the introduction of the feature, people enjoying a video or audio call with a friend or family member are able to convert the chat into a group call by simply tapping the screen, selecting the ‘add person’ icon, and choosing who else they want to jump on the call – without their current conversation being interrupted.
“With the ability to add more people seamlessly to your calls, you can continue your conversation in the moment, just like if you were together in real life,” said Sarah Morris, product manager for Messenger. “Never again worry about skipping a beat when sharing your BFF’s spontaneous karaoke performance on Messenger. Sharing moments like these is now a few quick taps away.”
Adding people to in-progress video or audio chats has been mad available on the latest version of Messenger on both Android and iOS.
