Foursquare 7.0 Update Adds Push Notification

Foursquare has updated its iOS app to version 7.0.
Alongside the usual UI redesign, the update introduces location-based push notifications – what it calls “proactive recommendations”.
When arriving in a new place, users will receive recommendations and offers for nearby restaurants and venues to their notification tray. 
Foursquare began trialling this functionality on Android back in August, but this is the first time its appeared on iOS.
