Gok Wan and his Magic Radio Breakfast Show co-host Harriet Scott are part of a new marketing campaign launched today by Magic Radio. They’re joined by Nicki Chapman, Mel Giedroyc and Gaby Roslin in promoting the message that ‘It’s Glowtime’.
Starting 15th May, the campaign will feature TV ads during popular shows like Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, Britain’s Got Talent, Good Morning Britain, Coronation Street, This Morning, Sunday Brunch on Channel 4, and The Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5.
The campaign includes music like “Waiting for a Star to Fall” by Boy Meets Girl, “Relight My Fire” by Take That and Lulu, and Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” – giving a feel for Magic Radio’s mix of the ‘best variety from the 80s to now.’
It will run all summer across TV, outdoor ads, digital, and print. This follows recent successful campaigns from Bauer Media Audio for brands like Greatest Hits Radio and Hits Radio.
Discussing the launch, Anne Marie-Lavan, Chief Marketing Officer for Bauer Media Audio UK said: ‘This new campaign for Magic Radio celebrates and showcases those key values that we know listeners to the station love – authenticity, inclusivity and, of course, great music.
“The brand started the year with a number of brilliant, ambitious, signings, with Gok Wan joining Harriet Scott on Magic Radio Breakfast, Nicki Chapman on Mellow Magic and Gaby Roslin and Mel Giedroyc bringing glow time to all our weekends. Our latest campaign marks a significant step forward in how we engage the Magic Radio audience with a fresh approach we believe will resonate deeply.’
