The Google Maps app has introduced real time traffic incident reports from Wazes user-generated content.
Its the first result of Googles acquisition of Waze in June, for a reported $1bn. As promised, the improvements are a two-way street, with the Waze app on iOS and Android gaining Google Search functionality, and Google Street View in its map editor. 
Going forward, Google says that it will continue to improve both products through cross-pollination.
