US travel site TripAdvisor has formed an agreement with Grubhub, an online and mobile food ordering company, to integrate Grubhub’s restaurant network into TripAdvisor’s desktop website, mobile web and mobile app offerings.
Through the pairing, users browsing TripAdvisor’s restaurant listings in the US will have to option to order food from Grubhub’s restaurant partners through an ‘order online’ button, which redirects the consumer to Grubhub’s online or mobile platforms to place an order.
“Were always looking for ways to make it easier for our diners to find and order the type of food they want — whether theyre at home or traveling — from the broadest, best set of local restaurants,” said Sudev Balakrishnan, SVP of product at Grubhub. “Were excited to connect Grubhub diners with TripAdvisors massive, active mobile and desktop audience so that these people can enjoy the convenience of delivery wherever they may be.”
Bertrand Jelensperger, SVP for TripAdvisor Restaurants, added: “Through our new agreement with Grubhub, were demonstrating another example of how TripAdvisor has become the site for anyone looking to find their perfect meal, now providing consumers with access to food delivery from tens of thousands of restaurants.”
