Last Call for Barca Starta Entries

We have had some outstanding entries for our  Barca Starta competition for start-ups, the final of which takes place on Tuesday, 26 February at the Cerveceria Mortiz in Barcelona. There is stil time to get your entry in, but the entry deadline is 5pm UK time today.

Barca Starta is our new competition for start-ups that have been trading for less than three years and have less than 20 employees. The final of the competition takes place on 26 February in Barcelona, but to make the final, you need to get through the initial judging round, and to do this, you need to fill in an Entry Form that you can find on the Barca Starta website.

In the final, the competing start-ups will have two minutes in which to pitch their big idea to the judging panel, explaining why their company should win. The judging panel is made up of Sienne Veit, head of mobile at Morrisons; Michael Bayle, senior vice president and GM, Mobile, at ESPN; John Occhipinti, a partner at VC firm, Relay Ventures; and Mobile Marketing editor, David Murphy.

On offer to the winner is a cash prize, plus exposure in Mobile Marketing’s print and online editions in the form of editorial coverage and free advertising. And all the finalists, of course, will benefit from exposure to the VCs who have expressed an interest in attending the event.

Head for the Barca Starta website now to get your entry in. For more information about entering or sponsoring the Barca Starta competition, email [email protected] or call him on +44 (0) 20 7183 2920.
