Man City Signs for Mobile Marketing Live

Manchester City Football Club is the latest big-name signing for Mobile Marketing Live, which kicks off at 9.30am on Monday at the Business Design Centre in London.
Russell Stopford, head of digital at Manchester City, will deliver a presentation at 2.20pm on the first day of the conference, entitled ‘Engaging Fans – The Growth of Mobile’, in which he will outline the journey Manchester City has been on in developing first, an iPhone app, and most recently, a HTML5 mobile site in order to engage with the clubs global fan base. The presentation will explore the differences in approach when developing a mobile app and a mobile site.
Another recent addition to the speaker line-up is Simon Murphy, head of gambling (EMEA) at FremantleMedia Enterprises. He will deliver a presentation at 12.10pm on the first day of the event, entitled: The Convergence of Online, Mobile and Social Gambling, in which he will examine how FremantleMedia works to strike brand partnership deals with shows such as The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent to enable clients such as Mecca Bingo look to develop online, mobile and social niches to drive a cross over between its players.
More than 1,000 people have so far registered to attend the event. Recent signups include representatives from Sainsbury’s, The Metropolitan Police, Pizza Hut, ZenithOptimedia, Everest, and BSkyB.
Other brands speaking at the event include The Guardian, Debenhams, AutoTrader, Dominos Pizza, The Daily Telegraph, and Ford.
