UK taxi-booking app Minicabit has partnered with self-storage firm Big Yellow to enable customers to instantly compare and book minicab quotes to and from the brands 84 nationwide storage units, as well as benefit from discounts and offers.

The partnership follows a three month trial between the two companies, which demonstrated there was demand for a quick, easy way for customers to get their goods to local stores. 15 per cent of bookings during the trial were made within one hour, and the majority on the same day.

Minicabits luggage selector feature which ensures customers book the appropriate size of cab has been updated to allow users to enter popular household items such as boxes, TVs and even mattresses.

Minicabit has also been integrated into Big Yellows website, providing customers with quotes and the option to book services directly through the firms online service. The partnership with Big Yellow is the latest in a series of deals the company has made, including recent deals with Heathrow Airport and Pingit.
