Restaurant Brands International names Jerry Daykin as first head of global media 

Jerry Daykin has been appointed as the Head of International Media at Restaurant Brands International, overseeing Burger King, Popeyes, Tim Hortons, and Firehouse Subs. 

This one-year contract position is a new role at the Canadian fast-food conglomerate. 

Daykin will establish and develop the new media function, including strategy, planning, activation, and adtech, for all global markets outside North America. 

He will report to Antonio Marques, the group’s Chief Brand Officer.

Before joining Restaurant Brands International, Daykin held senior media positions on both the brand and agency sides. 

Recently, he was a consultant at PepsiCo for fractional media partnerships and responsible media, as well as fractional CMO and strategy officer at Adfidence. 

From 2022, he served as VP and Head of Global Media at Beam Suntory. 

His experience also includes roles as EMEA Senior Media Director at GSK and Head of Global Media Partnerships and Strategy at Diageo.

Additionally, Daykin worked at Carat as Global Digital Partner and at Mondelez International, where he led social media marketing for the EU.
