Shutterstock adds in-app registration for content makers

Shutterstock Contributor appStock photography company Shutterstock has launched in-app contributor registration in 21 languages on both Android and iOS.

The update will enable photographers and videographers to begin earning for their content via the Shutterstock Contributor app. Contributors using the app receive ‘instant’ push notifications to let them know what customers are interested in for their region, as well as being able to see sales and commissions and monitor image approval activity.

Once signed up to the app, contributors will be able start uploading content straight away.

“Our growing base of over 650,000 contributors around the world upload nearly half a million assets from the Shutterstock Contributor app every month,” said Jon Oringer, founder and CEO of Shutterstock. “We’re thrilled to enhance the in-app experience for today’s generation of highly-visual, mobile-first users. Now iOS and Android users can sign-up to become a contributor straight from the app and start making money from their mobile imagery instantly.”

Shutterstock has also made some changes to its customer app in order to make browsing of similar images easier.
