Mobile ad platform Smaato has released its Global Price Index, the industry's first, which aims to serve as a global rate card for mobile advertising. The index uses analytics and a pricing engine to offer real-world metrics, and will release an extended report quarterly, beginning April 2012.
“Mobile advertising doesn’t have to be difficult,” says Ragnar Kruse, co-founder and CEO of Smaato. “With the launch of our new index we aim to take the complexity away and help developers, publishers and advertisers to determine the best performing regions at the best price so they can execute the most effective campaigns with the greatest returns.”
Smaato has also updated its mobile advertising platform, SOMA, to include real-time bidding capabilities, and added an SDK for Windows Phone.
