Socialising app Now Wow Launches with Integrated Campaign

Socialising app Now Wow, which enables users to meet and mix with new people in pubs, bars and clubs, has launched with an integrated campaign that combines social media strategy, in-venue POS materials and screen media ads.
The app, created by PlayAmigo, lets individuals and groups within the same venue to view each others profiles, chat and meet up. In addition, venues can join in the conversation and send exclusive offers to users who have checked-in.
“The Now Wow app has been created for those who are up for new experiences and meeting new people in the same venue,” said Richard Morris, co-founder and CEO of PlayAmigo. “It also benefits the on-trade too. People socialising more creates a better buzz in the venue which means they stay longer, it helps sales and customers are more likely to come back. Everyone wins.
“When creating Now Wow, we wanted to differentiate our app and launch in a way that was very real and authentic. We appointed a creative agency that no only understood the on-trade channel but also our challenge to show we are distinctive and relevant to consumers.”
The launch campaign was managed by marketing agency Cubo, which used an integrated approach combining digital and physical promotion.
“The app marketplace has exploded and is saturated with lots of products that look and feel the same,” said Chris Walmsley, head of planning at Cubo. “The Now Wow app is different and makes a contribution to both the user and the venue.
