Sony Swings Into Second-Screening Action with Spider-Man App

Sony Pictures has launched a second-screening tablet app to promote the Blu-Ray release of The Amazing Spider-Man.
The app, which is available for Sonys own Android tablets as well as the iPad, syncs up with the film, to provide users with enhanced content which ties into whats currently on screen, including scene-specific trivia, behind-the-scenes footage, and concept art.
If users are watching the film using a connected Blu-Ray player, they can sling selected content from their tablet, to watch it on their TV screen. 
Alternatively – and wisely, as it gives users a reason to download the app before the films Blu-Ray release in November – users can access the content in Production mode, which doesnt require the disc to work.
