App publisher Mobiles Republic has launched Sports Republic, the latest addition to its range of iOS and Android news apps. The app sources sport articles from 70 news outlets and blog to provide users with over 1,000 articles on a daily basis.
“The success of our Appy Geek and Glam Life apps demonstrates that there is a large and receptive audience for specialised news on mobile devices,” says Mobiles Republic CEO Gilles Raymond. “Sports Republic is the logical next step in our evolution, and one we hope will resonate with sports fanatics all over the globe.” 
Users can create channels which filter by any search terms which interest them, and, using the TagNav word cloud feature, can view related topics, articles, YouTube links, and Wikipedia entries.
