SuperHeroes launches AI weather forecast inspired by Van Gogh

SuperHeroes has introduced Weather on the Gogh, a unique digital experience that presents weather forecasts as if seen through the eyes of Vincent van Gogh.

The concept was created by SuperHeroes copywriter Cillian Kenny in collaboration with a team of developers, with the agency’s tech and creative teams supporting its production and launch.

Powered by a custom AI model, Weather on the Gogh combines data from traditional weather services and extensive meteorological sources with an in-depth visual analysis of over 150 Van Gogh artworks.

The AI is trained to detect rainfall, cloud cover, temperature, humidity, atmospheric conditions, and time of day as expressed in Van Gogh’s brushstrokes. This allows it to generate an image that mirrors the current weather at each user’s location.

“As a creative, what inspires me most is non-traditional storytelling and the creative use of data” says Cillian Kenny, “and as a huge fan of Van Gogh, I wanted to create a new space where people can discover more about his art and the way he used colour, light and movement to bring the landscapes around him to life.”

“You’re really able to see the weather through the eyes of Van Gogh. It’s a fresh and playful combination of art, AI and functionality, and it even brings Van Gogh’s famous skies to life”, says Rogier Vijverberg, Chief Creative Hero at SuperHeroes.
