The Telegraph is to relaunch its apps for iPhone and Android, bringing them closer in line with its iPad app. The apps will work on a monthly subscription, with print and iPad subscribers able to access the apps free of charge.
In good news for football fans, meanwhile, a deal with ESPN will result in video footage of all Premier League goals streamed into the app, as well as a live match centre with scores, results, tables and fixtures.
“These apps represent a significant step forward in our strategy of delivering our award-winning journalism on all the key digital devices,” says Edward Roussel, executive editor, digital, Telegraph Media Group. “The apps have been designed to also give readers attractive new features including Premier League video and stats, a customisable homepage and offline reading at the touch of a fingertip.”
