The Who Rock the Oculus Rift with Anniversary App

To mark The Whos 50th anniversary, the classic rock band has launched an app – not just for smartphones and tablets, but also the Oculus Rift VR headset.
The app, developed by Immersive, enables users to explore a range of artefacts from the bands history, including photo, videos and audio, in the form of a 3D virtual museum. Updates with extra content are promised as The Whos 2015 world tour approaches.
“Im not a fan of smartphones but have to admit they do open up huge possibilities to entertain and educate,” said band member Roger Daltrey. “The music business needs to use every avenue possible to keep the fans and the music in close contact.” 
The Who will initially be available as a free download on Android on iOS, before a premium launch on Oculus Rift in early 2015.
