Tinder has a secret version for its celebrity and best-looking users

Tinder has been operating a special ‘members-only’ version of the popular dating platform aimed at elite users on the app.

TechCrunch reports that Tinder Select has been around for over six months and is, according to a source, exclusively “for celebrities and people who do really well on Tinder.”

Tinder has been allegedly inviting people to the elitist version of the app but it is unclear how people actually qualify. The only thing that is known is that the current crop of users consists of “CEOs, super models, and other hyper-attractive/upwardly affluent types,” as TechCrunch writes. This makes it sound mildly like The League or, perhaps, exactly like Elite Singles. So, it’s unlikely us regular, normal looking, non-millionaire folks will ever be granted access to the club.

The discovery by TechCrunch comes just a few days after ‘females make the first move’ dating app Bumble announced it would be relaunching its VIBee system – which rewards users who swipe thoughtfully and are responsive with a kind of ‘verified’ status.
