Turkcell Launches MobilKod Mobile Marketing Platform

Turkish operator Turkcell has launched MobilKod,
a mobile marketing service that leverages Microsoft’s Microsoft Tag mobile tagging technology. Turkcell says that MobilKod provides a mobile marketing platform for brands and advertisers to reach millions of mobile subscribers in Turkey and beyond, and to measure the performance of their campaigns.

MobilKod enables brands to create Tags. These are 2-D barcodes that can be placed on objects and printed materials. When scanned with a free mobile application (available here), they unlock an interactive mobile experience provided by the brand, such as a video, photo slide show or mobile site. As such, MobilKod enables brands to connect their products and materials in the physical world to information and interactive content in the digital world.

The MobilKod Tag Reader is available in Turkey and is available for free on all supported devices, including Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, J2ME, Symbian and Windows Mobile devices.
