Brandtech company You & Mr Jones has acquired a majority stake in Mobkoi, a London-based mobile advertising company. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Founded in 2014 by brothers Quentin and Guillaume Le Pape, Mobkoi addresses concerns surrounding brand safety with direct relationships with publishers – such as the BBC, Financial Times, Forbes, GQ, and Vogue – to ensure there is no compromise on the safety of campaigns. It is a self-proclaimed ‘one-stop shop for mobile marketing’ that provides media planning and buying, custom creative solutions, and optimised campaign delivery for brands including Bentley, Canon, Marerati, Nespresso, and more.

“The growth in mobile continues to be explosive. Mobkoi has built an extremely impressive business that combines the power of storytelling with the latest in mobile technology,” said David Jones, founder of You & Mr Jones. “Importantly, the company also helps luxury and premium brands address the key issue of brand safety and ensure that their content is appearing in the environments where it deserves to be. We’re excited to partner with Quentin and Guillaume and to be a catalyst for Mobkoi’s global expansion.”

The acquisition will see Mobkoi open offices in New York City, Dubai, Singapore, and Sydney – to join the offices it already has in London, France and Germany.

It’s been a busy 18 months for You & Mr Jones. In that period, the company has also acquired Mofilm, Fifty-five, and TheAmplify, along with the launch two startups called Mosaic and Blood. It has also invested in 13 tech companies including Pokémon Go developer Niantic, Mashable, and Zappar.
