Amazon expands Whole Foods deliveries to Atlanta and San Francisco

Amazon Prime Now Whole FoodsAbout a month after Amazon started offering products from Whole Foods Market to Prime members through Prime Now in four locations, the company has expanded the service to Atlanta, Georgia and San Francisco, California.

The introduction of the service in Atlanta and San Francisco means Prime members in the two cities can get free two-hour delivery on fresh produce, meat, seafood, everyday staples, select alcohol, and locally-sourced items which are found at Whole Foods.

“We’re happy to bring our customers in San Francisco and Atlanta the convenience of free two-hour delivery through Prime Now and access to thousands of natural and organic groceries and locally sourced favourites,” said John Mackey, Whole Foods Market co-founder and CEO. “Together, we have already lowered prices on many items, and this offering makes Prime customers’ lives even easier.”

Delivery from Whole Foods is available to customers Atlanta and San Francisco, as well as in Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas, and Virginia Beach, from 8am to 10pm daily. Customers can also, alternatively, request an ultra-fast delivery within one for $7.99 on orders of $35 or more.

Amazon says it will continue its expansion of the service across the US throughout the year, and we may even see it pop up in Europe in the not-so-distant future.
