Coty has launched a Marc Jacobs Fragrances holiday campaign on Pinterest. The campaign centres on an interactive fragrance finder quiz. Pinners are guided through questions about the person they are gifting for, including who the recipient is, and which statement best describes their personality. They are then presented with one of six Marc Jacobs Fragrances, revealing a unique perfume match, available for purchase.
Coty has used Pinterest’s Pin Extension feature, an ad solution that gives consumers an immersive brand experience within Pinterest’s in-app browser, simply by swiping up within a regular Promoted Pin.
"A new perfume is the ultimate luxury gift,” said Hollie Smit, Senior Digital Manager at Coty UKI. “Through beautiful imagery, descriptions and a few questions, our Marc Jacobs Daisy quiz on Pinterest enables people to choose a bespoke Daisy gift for their loved ones (or themselves) this season, from the comfort of their living room.”
Beauty is big on Pinterest, which says that around 87 per cent of users come to the platform when they are actively considering beauty or personal care products, but are still undecided what to buy.
