DJ Khaled has become the latest celebrity voice to navigate people’s journeys on Waze through a campaign from music streaming service Deezer to promote his latest album.

The international music artist’s voice is available to accompany users until 30 June. During this time, drivers using the navigation app will be able to select DJ Khaled’s voice within their settings and enjoy quotes including “Stay focused”, “Don’t play yourself”, and “The top’s off the Maybach”.

“We are beyond excited to launch the DJ Khaled voice in partnership with our friends at Deezer,” said Adam Fried, head of global partnerships at Waze.  “DJ Khaled has one of the most recognisable voices in the industry and is beloved by many of our 115m-plus users around the world, so we can’t think of anyone better to safely and entertainingly guide Waze drivers on their journeys.”

Waze and Deezer have been working together since October 2018 when the Google-owned navigation app added a built-in audio player for music, podcasts, audiobooks, radio, and news without having to leave the app. Deezer was one of the launch partners alongside Pandora, iHeartRadio, NPR One, Scribd, Stitcher, and TuneIn.

DJ Khaled’s new album, Father of Asahd, is out now.
