Facebook Launches Lookalike Audiences

Facebook has launched Lookalike Audiences, a feature which enables marketers to target a new audience segment with their ads, which has similar or common attributes and interests to the customers they have already identified as a target audience.
The offering is aimed at both eCommerce companies and direct response marketers, in order to help them serve ads to specific geographic areas or audiences who are not already fans of their Facebook page, without compromising their existing demographic profile.
The tool, which began testing a few weeks ago, is available as part of Facebooks Power Editor platform.
