Fox Debuting TV Show Outcast on Facebook Live

Outcast TV2oth Century Fox is premiering the first episode of Outcast, its new TV drama, on Facebook Live two weeks ahead of its first airing on TV.

The episode will be streamed simultaneously on Facebook Live – the Periscope-style video livestreaming platform introduced last December – in 61 European and African countries at 10pm Central European Time this evening, ahead of its TV debut early next month.

Outcast is a horror story, adapted from a comic by artist Paul Azaceta and writer Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, and will be shown across the region on the Fox channel, shortly after its original broadcast on Cinemax in the US.

“Thanks to The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman has created an army of fans throughout the region,” said Diego Londono, COO of Fox Networks Europe & Africa. “Fox is known for ‘the best, first’ and by partnering with Facebook, we are giving the fans the chance to watch the new show at the same time across Europe and Africa.”

This isnt the first time Fox has used of Facebook Live for marketing – it recently streamed the London premiere of its movie release X-Men: Apocalypse, with the video attracting over 781,000 views to date.
