Meta’s Threads hits 200 million active users

Meta’s Threads has surpassed 200 million active users, the technology giant has revealed.
The platform initially launched 13 months ago, but thanks to its integration with Instagram, Threads quickly attracted an initial wave of users, reaching over 100 million monthly active users by October.
In a post on social media, Instagram Head, Adam Mosseri, said: “My hope is that Threads can inspire ideas that bring people together, and this amazing community continues to grow.

Meanwhile, in an earnings call earlier this week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, added: “We’re making steady progress towards building what looks like it’s going to be another major social app. And we are seeing deeper engagement, and I’m quite pleased with the trajectory here.”
“But I do think that these kinds of opportunities are pretty rare and that’s something that we are just really excited about,” he added.
