EE has announced it aims to “gamify the nation” by launching the world’s “biggest playable arcade” at Brighton Pier and Wembley Stadium on 7 September.
With the participation of Sidemen members Josh, Tobi, and Ethan, these iconic locations will be transformed into gaming hubs, featuring a variety of online and mixed reality experiences inspired by classic arcade games.
At 5pm on EE Game Day, the trio will also join a ‘Game Chest Hunt’ on EE’s Fortnite island, offering fans a chance to unlock Game Chests filled with console prize bundles.
As part of the Game Day live stream, EE will also be raising funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital’s campaign to build a new school within a state-of-the-art Children’s Cancer Centre.
EE Group Brand and Consumer Marketing Director Pete Jeavons, said: “Following its successful debut in 2023, EE Game Day is back! This year we’ve stepped it up a notch by transforming the UK into the world’s largest gaming arcade for 24 hours only.
“There will be more immersive games, bigger prizes, and opportunities for everyone to participate, regardless of their gaming style. Whether you’re on Brighton Pier, exploring EE Fortnite Island in-game, or scanning a QR code on your way to work, we’re putting gaming experiences and equipment in the hands of the nation. It’s going to be an unforgettable day for gamers across the country, so make sure you don’t miss out!”
