BBC’s Dragon’s Den star Steven Bartlett has signed exclusively with WME’s US division for global representation.
WME, a leading global talent agency representing top creative artists and talent, will focus on expanding Bartlett’s The Diary Of A CEO (DOAC) podcast and personal brand in the US and worldwide.
The announcement follows the confirmation in December 2024 that DOAC became the world’s second-largest host-led podcast across all platforms, surpassing 50 million monthly streams for the first time in its history.
To support this growth, Bartlett will spend more time in Los Angeles, New York, and London, allowing him to broaden the podcast’s global reach and invite some of the most compelling guests to join his show.
His presence in the US will also help him explore new opportunities across various media platforms, expand his global speaking engagements, build brand partnerships, and develop business ventures, including his software company Thirdweb, valued at $160 million in 2022 by Shopify.
Bartlett said: “I could never have imagined podcasting would become what it has and I still find it surreal that there’s actually real people listening to the conversations we share. This whole crazy journey has been the most rewarding rollercoaster of my life. In the last two years, the US has become our largest global audience, and this partnership with WME feels like the right step at this time to better serve our listeners and to continue building on that progress.
“I will now be predominantly recording The Diary Of A CEO from LA and New York, whilst living more of the time in LA, and I’m excited to see what new opportunities emerge Stateside. My ultimate hope is that I can bring my audience more of the global stories from people they want to hear from.”
