Amazon Music becomes latest Waze audio partner

Waze has welcomed Amazon Music as the latest streaming service to be integrated into its navigation app, providing Amazon Prime members and Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers with access to millions of songs and thousands of playlists and stations while driving.

Amazon Music customers can stream music on Waze by opening up the Waze app and tapping the music note icon. Amazon Music will also serve next turn directions from Waze within its own app.

“We’re really excited to welcome Amazon Music into the Audio Player family, giving drivers access to their favourite music and playlists to make their time in the car as enjoyable as possible,” said Adam Fried, Head of Global Partnerships at Waze.

Waze launched its Audio Player Program in October 2018 alongside Pandora, Deezer, iHeartRadio, NPR One, Scribd, Stitcher, and TuneIn. The program built on an existing partnership with Spotify, which was formed back in March 2017.

Since launching the program, Waze has also added the likes of YouTube Music and Tidal its platform.
