The upcoming digital subscription service from the BBC and ITV, BritBox, has recruited a group of agency partners to help drive the service forward toward its launch – expected before the close of the year – and beyond.
Total Media, a behavioural planning agency, will take charge of media strategy, while ITV Creative will handle UK branding and the launch advertising campaign, and the Taylor Herring consultancy is onboard as PR supplier for the launch.
Over the top (OTT) specialist Deltatre – which works on the existing BritBox business in the US and Canada – will handle product design, providing the user experience across BritBox’s suite of apps. Elsewhere, Irdeto is responsible for content packaging and protection, Akamai is providing the content delivery network, and LoginRadius will manage the customer identity and access management platform.
“We have selected and built an outstanding new agency team of streaming, entertainment and data specialists at the top of their fields to complement the expertise of our team here at BritBox. We look forward to working hand in hand with them to a successful launch,” commented Reemah Sakaan, group director of ITV SVOD and SVP creative head of BritBox.
Last month, BBC and ITV welcomed Viacom-owned Channel 5 and Comedy Central to the BritBox line-up as the platform gathers momentum towards its launch.
