Hodder Childrens Books Adds AR Content for Paperback Launch

Publishers Hodder Childrens Books is promoting the paperback launch of Rock War, the latest novel by best-selling author Robert Muchamore, with augmented reality content that add more interactivity to the reader experience.
The AR technology created by Zappar adds a new level of interaction to the story of three talented teenagers fighting for fame. Promotional material for the 2015 launch will include zappable content which enables fans to photograph themselves using drums and guitars on stage using Zappars free app.
Readers will also be able to access exclusive content by using the Zappar app in conjunction with the book itself, which will unlock games and further photo opportunities.
“Its exciting to be able to try out different ways of engaging with new audiences,” said Max Dawes, partnerships director at Zappar. “The teen market is a hard one to get right, but were confident that with the brilliant Rock War storyline and the cool immersive AR content well be able to provide readers with an awesome experience.”
