Mobile Traffic Up, Average Order Value Down in Affiliate Window Q4 Report

Performance marketing network Affiliate Window has released its latest Mobile Update report, covering Q4 2015, detailing the amount of mobile activity in its network during the quarter.
47.5 per cent of traffic originated from a mobile device, up slightly from 47 per cent in the previous quarter, with more than half (26 per cent) of this traffic coming from smartphones. 39.6 per cent of sales originated from a mobile device up slightly from 37.2 per cent in Q3. Of these sales,19.7 per cent came from smartphones, with the remaining 17.5 per cent coming from tablets.
Mobile traffic converted at 4.6 per cent, up from 3.8 per cent in the previous quarter. The only blot on the landscape came in the form of Mobile Average Order Value, which while healthy at £64.60, was slightly down on the Q3 figure of £65.04.
Overall, 35.6 per cent of revenue generated for Affiliate Window’s advertisers originated from a mobile device in Q4, up from 31.3 per cent in Q3, with 57,119 sales coming through a mobile device each day, and 1,179 sales generated through a smartphone each hour.
