Samsung Electronics UK has announced the launch of a new season-long partnership, becoming the official TV partner of the National Football League (NFL) in the UK and Ireland.
This collaboration aims to provide the ultimate NFL gameday experience at home for the growing fanbase of over 16.7 million followers, using Samsung’s large screen, market-leading TVs.
Throughout the season, the partnership will feature multi-channel activations designed to promote awareness of Samsung’s large screen TVs and soundbars.
This will include special promotional offers, social media campaigns, PR efforts, CRM initiatives, online promotions, and interactive activations at the three NFL London Games happening in October 2024.
Further marketing activities throughout the season will include a new weekly highlight series called “The 8K Rewind,” showcasing the exceptional clarity and 8K capabilities of Samsung’s premium TVs. More initiatives are planned, leveraging NFL imagery and highlighting Samsung’s Neo QLED and large-screen products.
Zeena Hill, Director of Marketing for TV/AV at Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland, commented: “We’re extremely excited to be partnering with the NFL, one of the biggest brands in sport.
“The NFL continues to grow in popularity, especially in the UK, and fans are looking for the best viewing experience, making this partnership a perfect fit. With over 3.4 million fans watching last season’s Super Bowl LVIII in the UK alone, this season is set to be even bigger, with the action already underway.
“Our partnership will demonstrate our superior large screen clarity and performance, along with enhanced AI features, offering a truly immersive viewing experience for fans. It will make them feel as though they are right there in the stadium.”
Henry Hodgson, General Manager of NFL UK and Ireland, added: “Samsung is the ideal partner to bring the excitement and energy of NFL games to screens across the UK and Ireland. We’re looking forward to working together to provide fans with the best NFL viewing experiences throughout the 2024 season.”
