Deliveroo and Burger King sponsor new ITV drama

ITVX and Burger King have launched a new film spotlighting the dedication of delivery drivers during the winter season.

In time for the launch of its historical drama series ‘The Winter King’, the campaign sees a Burger King customer surprised by a delivery driver dressed like a knight in shining armour.

The stunt begins with a dark-age knight in armour collecting the Winter King Banquet to the surprise employees and sees him take to a set in streets upon his trusty horse, to the bemusement of a Deliveroo driver on his moped.

The campaign has been shared across social channels and supported with paid TikTok placements and can be seen across owned and organic channels from ITV, Deliveroo and Burger King.

ITV CMO Jane Stiller said: “We’ve had great success with ITVX and Deliveroo partnerships to date. It’s a natural fit that when people are choosing what they want to watch, they’re also choosing what they want to eat.

“The launch of The Winter King on ITVX is a new genre for the brand and so we wanted to turbocharge our partnership with Deliveroo. This social stunt is the perfect way to do so, matching the scale and ambition of ITVX – the UK’s freshest streaming platform.”

Deliveroo Media and Ecommerce Client Partner Mia Georgevic added: “We’re proud of our ongoing partnership with ITV and this stunt alongside our friends at Burger King UK was created to celebrate the role that food and food delivery can play in immersing yourself into a new TV series.”
