If youve been watching the site carefully, you might have noticed the sheer number of stories about mobile wallets. Just today, Samsung Wallet landed in the US Play Store, Isis partnered with American Express, and Google dropped NFC redemption for its wallets loyalty functions.
Yesterday saw UK bakery brand Greggs announcing its plans for a loyalty-focused wallet app, and PayPal launching picture-verified mobile payments through a limited pilot in Richmond, London.
Elsewhere, Kirsty Styles spoke to Trader Media Group marketing director Jonathan Williams about the publishers recent decision to go digital-only. Williams revealed that 30 per cent of visits to the Auto Trader site come via mobile, a number he expects to exceed 50 per cent within a year.
